There is an Activities Co-ordinator employed by the company who oversees all activities within the home and ensures that each individual service user is included in activities of their choice.
The entertainment and activities co-ordinator also arranges for entertainers to come into the home on a regular basis. Entertainers such as singers, musical instrument players and theatre shows. We also have children from a local primary school to come and sing to the residents at times of certain religious festivals. These visits ensure that all residents are involved in activities.
Our local vicar conducts a service every month.
Oxley Lodge actively encourages families and friends of residents to maintain contact with the service users and to take an active interest in the running of the home as well as planned activities. Relatives are also encouraged to be involved with care planning of service users.
Residents’ meetings are held every 3 months, which enable views and opinions to be put forward to management. Action plans and time scales for completion of issues are agreed amongst all involved.
Oxley Lodge has a pets policy, which is available for viewing at our home.
Oxley Lodge has a complaints procedure that is available at our home.
